Travelling from the Port of Cork to Kilkenny with Dublin Coach takes about two and a half hours. Dublin Coach travels from Cork to Dublin via Kilkenny every two hours departing from St. Patrick’s Quay with fares starting from €15 one way.. By Taxi

There are a number of taxi operators that offer a taxi service from the Port of Cork to Kilkenny. The journey takes about two hours and prices start from around €200. If you intend to travel to Kilkenny from the Port of Cork it is important to note these fares are only on specific taxi services that offer this route and not necessarily from the taxi rank by the port. These services usually must be pre-booked in advance. A quick google search will show you some taxi companies offering this service and their terms and conditions.

By Rail

In order to travel from the Port of Cork to Kilkenny via train you will need to take two trains. The first you can get from Cork’s Kent Station as far as Kildare, from here you will need to change train to go on to MacDonagh Station Kilkenny.
